A human adult or animal is one that has grown to the fullest extent. For humans adults have implications that are based on the legal and social world. Legal adult means a person is at the point of maturity and can be defined as autonomous, self-sufficient and accountable. They are also known as "majors" and "majors", they may also be thought as having reached the age of adulthood. The point at which a person becomes an adult legally is 18, however, the definition of legal maturity may differ based on the country or legal system, as well as the state of their mental health.

The lifespan of a human being, adulthood refers to the point when a person is at the point of complete intellectual and physical maturation. Adulthood usually begins at the age of 21. Following middle age (starting at around 40) then comes the age of old age (around age 60). There are three main phases of adulthood: early adulthood (18 up to the mid-30s), middle adulthood (mid-30s to mid-60s) as well as the final stage of adulthood (mid-60s up to the point of the time of death). When we enter early adulthood (20 to mid-40s), our physical maturation is completed, though our height and weight may increase slightly. In early adulthood our physical abilities reach their highest levels. This includes muscle strength as well as reaction speed.
