Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with starting the modern scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victimes as witness in lawful contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won many grants and has been honored with numerous international and national awards. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world regarding policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as director of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
